Today I went for a long walk. Not so much in distance (I have no idea how far I actually went) but in time, it took me an hour and a half to go out but only half an hour to get back, mainly because the battery on my camera was dead so I couldn't take many pictures coming back. The Boulder Creek Trail runs nearish to my place. I mainly walk it to the grocery store and back because it means I only have to wait for one light and it's nicer to walk by the creek than by the road. This is what I was on/above when I took the last two pictures of Boulder Creek.
When I set out on my walk I was pretty sure you were going to get a picture of Boulder Creek. Then I saw the Prairie Dogs and I was pretty sure you were going to get a picture of them. Until I ran into the train tracks. Now I've got no clue what the picture for today will be. My camera has just finished uploading all 172 pictures and one video to my computer so after I go through them we'll see which one I like best.
Also before I forget. Does Colorado have any poisonous snakes? A small-brown-well-camouflaged type and I had a moment of mutual startlement early on in the walk. It looked sort of corn snakeish and was only about a foot long and as thick as my pinky but if there are poisonous snakes I'd like to know.

All the rest have the same caption so here it is:
10.25.08, Day 21, Alongside Boulder Creek Trail
Tomorrow I plan to take both batteries and head out earlier, possibly with a snack. I haven't decided yet if I am just going to go further along Boulder Creek Trail, or if I'm going to wander off on one of the intersecting trails.
