Project365 Day Two: Civic Duty

I got my ballot in the mail today. Guess what I took a picture of, go on guess.Actually you get two pictures today because I wanted to post the first one. Especially after all the articles about how in previous elections no matter how good a game white voters talked they just couldn't bring themselves to vote for African American. Then you got picture two because I read the ballot and thought huh, that's a sneaky way to ban abortion.

From Project365
10.06.08 Day 2 1 of 2 Boulder County Ballot Out of curiosity why were the Republican candidates always listed first?

10.06.08 Day 2 2 of 2 Boulder County Ballot A sneaky way to ban abortion.

Also upon reading the ballots a useful thing to require would be easily comprehensible language. When I was putting everything together for the HRC review of my survey they had all sorts of rules about how the consent form had to be written in language that was easily understood by the target audience. Don't you think ballots should be too? Half the things I read them and went ? ??? and voted with the BCD recommendations.

EDIT: I got a comment on this entry (which I deleted because it was rude and the commenter hadn't even the guts to say who they were) asking why I would vote for a "marxist socialist muslim n****r" (asterisks mine) and ignoring all of the errors in categorizing Obama I have to wonder which of those epithets is the worst for the commenter?

See the only bad one for me is the last and that is because I find the term itself to be offensive no matter who says it. I have no problems with Muslims either in general or in specific and the other two are ideologies that are wonderful in theory but don't work in practice. Hopefully the hatemonger will not return.
