Yesterday the weather forcast said "Blizzard"

I'm not kidding either I took a picture.In fact the weather was bad enough yesterday that they closed campus. If only it wasn't Spring (hah!) Break we'd have gotten a snow day, in Colorado.

03.26.09, Day 173. First robins of spring. Hard to get the timing right in Colorado. See the robin on right of the picture? I didn't. I was trying to get a photo of the robin on the left. Didn't even notice the one on the right until I took another step forward and it flew away.

03.19.09, Day 166. Like small suns in full bloom. Daffodils are one of my top two favorite flowers. Dandelions, being yellow and sunny, make me happy too.It's been warm off and on for weeks but until I noticed the flowers blooming and the trees leafing out it didn't feel like spring.

Went to Shuttles, Spindles, and Skeins today for yarn for a *secret project.* This was not the yarn I bought but it was the yarn I really want to buy, all three of those. Unfortunately I need to figure out one skein projects first since they're $15 a skein. :( [Note to self: Cyprus Mohair by Feza Iplik]

03.13.09, Day 160. These birds are all over our apartment complex. I thought they were woodpeckers at first because they cling to the sides of trees sometimes. According to the internet though not only are there not any North American woodpeckers that look like this there aren't any woodpeckers at all that look like this. They look very similar to Magpies though so I think that's what they are. And they make some hilarious noises, sometimes they sound like cats even. This is also miss #2
